I’m a proud veteran, husband, and father of four, passionate about family and enjoy outdoor activities like hiking, golfing, working out, and motorcycle riding.
With a strong commitment to helping others, I’ve dedicated my career to hearing healthcare. As a Board-Certified Hearing Instrument Specialist, Certified Dementia Practitioner, and Tinnitus Care Provider, I’m committed to providing personalized and compassionate care. I specialize in diagnosing hearing loss, explaining complex audiological concepts in simple terms, and recommending tailored treatment plans. My goal is to empower individuals with hearing loss to reconnect with the world around them.
I founded Family First Hearing Center to provide comprehensive hearing care that prioritizes the needs of our patients and their families.
Jennifer Gale, Au.D.
Doctor of Audiology
Dr. Gale was born in Denver, Colorado, but raised and educated primarily in Cincinnati, Ohio. She was born with a profound hearing loss in her right ear, has worn hearing aids for many years, and is very passionate about helping people hear better. As a provider with a hearing loss, she is a firm believer that people with hearing loss really do not know what they are missing until they are aided.
She received her undergraduate degree from the University of Cincinnati and worked in the information technology field for many years. She then continued her education at the University of Cincinnati Medical Center in Cincinnati, where she completed her Doctorate in Audiology. During her time at UC, she received multiple medical scholarships and was involved in the University of Cincinnati Student Academy of Audiology (SAA), Special Olympics Healthy Hearing, Red Bird Mission Hearing Clinic, and was a member of HEAR in Cincinnati. She completed the Cincinnati Children’s Hospital Leadership Education in Neurodevelopment and Related Disabilities (LEND) Light certification and is also a Certified Mental Health Youth First Aider.
During her time at the University of Cincinnati, she also received her Animal Audiology certificate to work with animals. She has tested the hearing of canines, dolphins, and elephants through electrophysiological testing. She had the unique opportunity and privilege to travel to South Africa with her program to research and get an understanding of the auditory system of African elephants. Additionally, she provided audiological services to local children in the village of Bela-Bela, South Africa.
Her past research includes evaluating virotherapies to eradicate cholesteatomas, auditory processing disorders, and assessing conductive hearing loss in young children and infants using predictive wideband tympanometry and distortion product otoacoustic emission (DPAOE) measures.
Dr. Gale is truly passionate about hearing health care for all ages and ensuring that all of her patients receive the best care possible. She is interested in both adult and pediatric amplification, hearing conservation, tinnitus, and auditory processing disorders. When she is not at work, she enjoys being outdoors in beautiful sunny Colorado. She enjoys outdoor activities, including skiing, hiking, and walking/playing with her dog.
